Oct 10, 2007 - Father Richard Chretien, our classmate from 1959 has
served God and the Catholic Church well with 40 years of ministry as a
Priest this past May 20th and celebrated his anniversary with a Mass
on Sunday October 7, 2007 to an overflow congregation at Notre
Dame Church in Fall River, Mass. This was followed by a delicious hot
brunch to a very large crowd in the Parish Hall. We congratulate
Father Chretien on his dedication to God and the Church and lifetime
of service to his parishioners.
Father Chretien is shown here
on right receiving a gift from one of his parishioners at the brunch
in the Parish Hall. >
Thanks to Prevost Alumni
photographer Arthur Francoeur for the pictures he provided below.
This is a picture of Father
Richard Chretien at the time of his ordination and celebrating his
first Mass 40 years before the pictures above. That would make it
1967. He does look very young here and in the above pictures he
doesn't look any worse for the wear of 40 years.
